Rebuilding Together Houston Marks 15,000th Home Repair
In the Eastex/Jensen neighborhood of Houston, the hum of tools and excitement filled the air as volunteers from CenterPoint Energy gathered to complete a project that was years (and thousands of homes) in the making.
That project? Rebuilding Together Houston’s 15,000th home repair.
Since its founding, Rebuilding Together Houston has worked tirelessly to provide safe and healthy housing for neighbors in need in Houston. With the support of community volunteers, donors and corporate partners, Rebuilding Together Houston has reached a monumental milestone: 15,000 home repairs.
The honor of marking this moment went to Ms. Otha, a longtime Houston resident, whose home received critical repairs thanks to the skilled hands and generous hearts of volunteers from CenterPoint Energy. The team put the finishing touches on the home, bringing both care and celebration to the day.
CenterPoint Energy Foundation’s partnership with Rebuilding Together Houston spans nearly 43 years, making them one of the organization’s most enduring supporters. Their commitment to Houston communities has helped ensure that families, older adults and veterans can live safely in the homes they love.
Behind every home repair is a life touched and 15,000 times over. That’s worth celebrating. As we look ahead, we carry this milestone with us, committed to honoring every story, every home and every neighbor at the heart of our mission.
